Join Glyph for this extremely rare opportunity to capture the coveted total solar eclipse in central Texas, where the likelihood of good weather is very high. We will have over four minutes totality on Glyph founder Curtis W. Callaway’s farm nearby Clifton, Texas. We will spend the days leading up to the eclipse preparing you with the tools and knowledge to capture this amazing event as it occurs. Meet us in downtown Clifton at Callaway Fine Art Photography gallery for daily briefings and education. We will drive to various locations for day and night photography around our property which host a variety of wildflowers and wildlife including great horned owls, painted bunting, scissortails and more.
This will be a group of four to ten guests led by two professional photographers. Photographic instruction will be in the field and classroom as Curtis and Jody work alongside you. You will receive constructive critiques and advice on your creations, and learn alternate processing options and methods in Lightroom and Photoshop. There is an all-inclusive price and a discounted price for locals that do not need food/lodging, so join us for a great time at our home!

April 6, 2024 - 7am Breakfast. Bird Photography (owls, buntings, scissortails and more). Lunch. Meet at Gallery for Lightroom/Photoshop processing of images. Eclipse prep. Flash photography and painting with light. Breakout session. Early dinner. Night photography session II.
April 7, 2024 - 8am Breakfast. Meet at Gallery for Lightroom and Photoshop processing. Lunch. Eclipse prep. Eclipse safety briefing! Eclipse exposure data and timeline for eclipse. Eclipse safety! Dinner on our farm.
April 8, 2024 - 7am Breakfast. Weather permitting (again out of our control) 12:20:32 Eclipse begins. Eclipse shoot. Process images and celebrate!
April 9, 2024 - Breakfast on our farm. Depart for your home.
Pre-Workshop: If you are flying in from out of state or overseas, we recommend getting a flight to Austin or D/FW airports and renting a car. We are in the country roughly 2 hours either direction. If you prefer to arrive a day or two early to adjust to jet lag you are more than welcome to do so; you will be responsible for lodging during that time. We are more than happy to help you with any travel suggestions! Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Fitness
Easy: There will be short walks around the farm.
Flights
Arrive by air in Austin or Dallas and rent a car. We are two hours from Dallas and Austin. If you can get a flight to Waco airport it is a 30 minute drive to Clifton, Texas.
